Privacy Policy

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which became law as of 2018, is a European Parliament regulation which affects the way organisations handle the personal data of UK residents.

A principal aspect of this legislation is the empowerment of an individual with regard to how organisations handle your personal data.

We request only a limited amount of information; this is in order to make sure we can uniquely identify you (preventing clinical records being inappropriately accessed, shared, or mistakes made on the record itself) and to make sure we can contact you should the need arise.

We usually ask for your name, phone number and email address. In future, we may have to ask for date of birth and address. The latter will be also used to find your domicile address, in the case of a at-home treatment session.

At Crosstherapies, we take your privacy seriously and promise to not sell or misuse your information.  We also respect your rights to:

¨     not receive unwanted marketing

¨     be confident that your personal information is safe

¨     know what data we hold

¨     have that data removed from our system if that is your preference.

When you contact us with an enquiry or to make a booking you may give us details such as your name and contact details, which we will hold in email and/or will be noted down digitally through our online booking system Cliniko.

Cliniko is our secure clinical system which is specifically designed to hold confidential medical information. We are required to maintain thorough case notes regarding appointments and any relevant medical history; it is entirely up to you whether you disclose this information. We are also required to keep this medical information securely for a minimum of seven years in line with UK best practice. We are able to provide you with copies of your medical records. You will have to provide written authorisation for us to share your medical information with any other third party (including solicitors or insurers).

Cliniko does not use your personal data. You may receive automated emails from the system to confirm any appointment you have booked and to remind you of this appointment three days before. This is for your benefit and will potentially avoid missed appointments. More information regarding Cliniko’s GDPR compliance can be found here:

Our computer(s) and online calendar are password protected. However, please let us know if you’d like to have your details removed from our records.

Should you book an appointment at Bexley Osteopathic Clinic, please refer to their Privacy Policy with regard to their data handling.

Should you book an appointment at Dulwich Therapy Rooms via myself directly, a number of personal details will need to be added to their appointment management software in order to schedule the appointment.

Please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions regarding how we handle your personal data.
